It is white and stylish and has a rugged steel liner. The model is made from quality durable materials, virtually assuring you of many years of reliable service.

As is the case with the other freezers in the Gallery Series, this freezer features an innovative food organization system. This system comprises heavy duty dividers and printable storage labels...

These together help you store your food by type and expiry date which in turn makes it easy to locate and retrieve food. Labeling food properly also lowers the risk of "burying food," which ultimately, is a waste of money and effort as the food is never consumed.

Frigidaire GLFC1326FW Benefits

Because the Frigidaire GLFC1326FW is a high-end model, it comes with all the basic features you have come to expect in a chest freezer and more. These include:

  • 2 lift-out storage baskets

  • Food organization system

  • Adjustable temperature control

  • Power indicator light

  • Lock with pop-out key

  • Interior light

  • A defrost drain

The 2 lift-out storage baskets are handy for storing and retrieving tiny or regularly used items. Should the 2 baskets prove insufficient, you can purchase additional baskets. These would be a good investment as maneuvering around a well-organized is both easier and less stressful.

And, when you need to store bulky or oddly shaped items, you can completely remove the baskets from the freezer in order to create more room.

The adjustable temperature knob gives you the power to adjust the temperature of your freezer from time to time as needed. It is recommended that you set your freezer temperature to a colder setting 3 hours before introducing new food items such as meat and vegetables into it. This stops bacterial growth and helps preserve the food's natural juices, color and flavor.

The power indicator light is one of the benefits that is often taken for granted although it is not a standard feature on all chest freezer models. It is nevertheless crucial because with a glimpse, it tells you whether or not your freezer unit is receiving power...

If it isn't, you are able to take remedial measures to reinstate power supply to the model, averting food wastage and the attendant financial loss.

The lock with pop-out key helps you protect your food investment by preventing unauthorized people from accessing and tampering with the contents of your freezer. It does this by automatically ejecting the key upon locking, thereby ensuring that you do not forget the key in the freezer.

If you have young children, you can keep them safe by keeping their little curious hands out of the freezer, effectively child-proofing this useful but potentially dangerous appliance.

The interior light, molded into the freezer lid to maximize lighting, is indispensable for storing and retrieving food in dark and dimly lit rooms. However, it is still useful even in optimally lit rooms as it acts as a kind of spotlight, enabling you to search for and locate frozen items with ease.

As is the case with virtually all chest freezers, this Frigidaire freezer needs to be manually defrosted every 12 months or so when 1/4 to 1/2 inches of frost have formed. While this is a tedious exercise, it is essential for the continued efficient operation of the freezer.

The defrost drain located at the base of the unit makes this exercise somewhat easier. It also virtually eliminates the risk of spraining your back through strenuous lifting as all you need to do is simply tilt the freezer toward the defrost drain.

And, you can drain the run-off water directly into a sink by attaching a hose adapter and garden hose to the defrost drain. That way, you don't have to mop a messy floor afterward.
